The fine print
Terms of Service
Effective date: 5 August 2026
Last updated: 5 August 2026
Nobody reads these. You are reading these. That tells me something good about you already. I have written them the way I speak, so you can actually understand what you are agreeing to.
1. Who I am, and what agreeing means
My name is Lorraine R. Walsh. I am a Certified Life and Success Coach, trained through the Jay Shetty Certification School, and an Advanced Human Design Practitioner. I work for myself, under the name You Building You, out of Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
These terms cover the website youbuildingyou.com, the free quiz, and anything you buy from me. When you use this site or buy Midlife Rising, you are agreeing to what is on this page. If any of it does not sit right with you, please do not buy. I would far rather that than a bad fit.
You are agreeing as yourself, in your own name, and you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
2. What Midlife Rising is
Here is exactly what you get. No mystery, no small print holding something back.
- Two 90-minute 1:1 coaching sessions with me, live.
- A personalised written read, prepared for you.
- A 90-day plan you leave with.
- Email support between the sessions, so you are not left on your own with it.
- A meditation and a journal to use in your own time.
- The Midlife LEAN-IN Reset Method, a 6-week course, included as a bonus.
Sessions are held online unless we agree otherwise. You will get a booking link to choose your times.
This is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel later, and no recurring charge will appear on your card.
3. Price and payment
Midlife Rising is $399 at the founding price, and $499 at the standard price. All prices are in US dollars. If your card is in another currency, your bank does the conversion, not me.
Payment is due in full when you buy, and it runs through Stripe. I never see or store your card number. Work begins once the payment clears.
If a payment fails or is reversed, our work pauses until it is sorted out.
4. The grounded yes guarantee
I want you in this because it is right for you, not because you felt rushed into it.
If you request a refund within 24 hours of your first session, you get a full refund. No explanation needed. No awkward conversation. You ask, and I refund what you paid.
That is the grounded yes guarantee. It exists so that you can sit in the first session and find out honestly whether this is for you, without your money being the thing that traps you.
To use it, send me a message through the contact form on youbuildingyou.com within 24 hours of that first session. After 24 hours have passed, the window has closed, and the purchase stands.
5. What coaching is not
This is the most important section on this page. Please read it properly.
Coaching is not therapy. It is not medical care. It is not psychological treatment. It is not financial advice. It is not legal advice. It is not a substitute for any of them, and I am not qualified to provide any of them.
I am a coach. I work with women who are well, who want to think more clearly, decide more bravely, and build the next part of their lives on purpose. That is my lane, and I stay in it.
If something in your life needs a therapist, a doctor, a psychiatrist, an accountant or a solicitor, please go and get one. Coaching alongside proper care can be wonderful. Coaching instead of proper care is not something I will take part in.
Nothing I say to you, write for you, or include in any course or meditation is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a prescription. Do not stop, start, or change any medication or medical treatment because of anything that comes out of our work. That is a conversation for your doctor.
6. If you are in crisis
If you are in immediate danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself or anyone else, please stop reading this page and get help now.
In the USA, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, or call 911. Elsewhere, call your local emergency number or go to your nearest emergency department.
Coaching is not crisis support, and I am not an emergency service. I do not monitor email or messages around the clock, so please never use them to reach me in an emergency. You deserve someone qualified, and you deserve them immediately.
7. About Human Design
I am an Advanced Human Design Practitioner, and I use Human Design in my work. I want to be honest with you about what that is.
Human Design is a self-reflection framework. I use it the way you might use a good set of questions: to open a door, to give language to something you already sensed, to help you notice your own patterns. Many women find it clarifying, and I have watched it unlock real things.
It is not science. It has not been validated by scientific research, and I do not present it as though it has. It does not predict your future, it does not diagnose anything, and it does not tell you what will happen or what you must do. Anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling it.
Your chart is a mirror. You are still the one who decides.
8. What I promise, and what I do not
What I promise: I show up fully prepared. I give you my honest attention, my real thinking, and everything the offer says you get. I do the work on my side properly.
What I do not promise: a specific outcome. I cannot guarantee that you will leave a job, start a business, earn a certain amount, fix a relationship, or feel a particular way by a particular date. Nobody honest can.
Coaching works because of what you do between the sessions. Your results depend on your circumstances, your effort, and your choices, and those belong to you. Any story or example you see on my site is one woman's experience, not a promise about yours.
9. What is yours to do
My side of this is clear. Here is yours.
- Show up. Be at the sessions you booked, ready to think.
- Be honest with me. I can only work with what you actually tell me. Half a story gets half a result.
- Do the deciding. I will challenge you and offer perspective. Every choice you make afterwards is yours, and so is the responsibility for it.
- Look after your own health. Keep your own doctor, therapist or other professionals in place. Tell them what you need to tell them.
- Give me accurate details. Your name, your email, your birth details for the read. I can only work with what you give me.
10. Booking, rescheduling, missed sessions
Life happens, especially in this season of it. Here is how I handle it, fairly for both of us.
Rescheduling
You can move a session, as long as you give me at least 24 hours notice before the start time. Use the link in your booking confirmation, or message me. No penalty, no awkwardness.
Less than 24 hours notice, or not turning up
If you cancel with under 24 hours notice, or you do not arrive, that session counts as used. My day was held for you, and I turned other people away for that hour. If something genuinely serious happened, tell me. I am a human being, and I will use common sense.
Running late
If you are late, we work with the time that is left. I cannot run over into the next person's hour.
If I have to move something
If I ever need to reschedule, I will tell you as early as I possibly can and offer you a new time that works for you.
Booking your sessions in a reasonable time
Please book and complete both sessions within 6 months of purchase. After that I cannot hold them open indefinitely.
11. Who owns the materials
Everything I make is mine. The Midlife LEAN-IN Reset Method, the meditation, the journal, the written reads, the worksheets, the course videos, the wording on this website: all of it belongs to me, Lorraine R. Walsh, and is protected by copyright.
When you buy, I give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use those materials for yourself. That means:
- Use them for your own life, for as long as you like. Yes.
- Share your login, files or course access with anyone else. No.
- Record, film or screen capture our sessions. No, unless I have said yes in writing first.
- Copy, resell, republish or teach my material as your own. No.
- Feed my materials into an AI tool to reproduce or repackage them. No.
Your own words, your own notes and your own life stay entirely yours. I do not claim anything you write or create.
If I ever want to quote something you said, or share your story, I will ask you first and you are free to say no.
12. How we treat each other
This work asks for honesty, and honesty needs safety. So: we speak to each other with respect, even when the conversation is hard. Disagreement is welcome. Abuse, threats, harassment and discrimination are not, in either direction.
Do not use anything I give you to break the law or to harm someone. If any of that happens, I will end our work, and section 15 explains what that means.
13. Privacy and confidentiality
What you tell me in a session stays with me. I do not repeat it, and I do not use it as an example anywhere, even anonymously, without your written yes.
Please note that coaching is not a legally privileged relationship in the way that therapy or law is. In rare situations the law could require me to disclose something, most obviously where there is a risk of serious harm. I would rather you knew that now.
How the website, the quiz and my email list handle your information is set out in full in my Privacy Policy. These terms cover the work you buy. That page covers your data. Both are real, and they work together.
14. Limitation of liability
The legally heavy part. I have still written it in real words.
Everything I provide is offered as it is, in good faith. I do not warrant that the website, the course platform or any tool will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
To the fullest extent the law allows, my total liability to you, for anything connected to these terms or to our work together, is limited to the amount you actually paid me. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses: lost income, lost opportunities, or the outcome of decisions you made after we spoke. You keep the deciding, and the responsibility that comes with it.
Nothing here is meant to exclude any liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some places do not allow certain limitations. Where that is true, the limitation applies as far as it legally can, and no further.
15. Ending our work
You can stop at any time. If you are inside the 24 hour window in section 4, you get your money back. Outside it, there is nothing to cancel, because this was a one-time purchase and not a subscription.
I can end our work too, if you break these terms, behave abusively, use my material in a way section 11 forbids, or reverse a payment. If I end it for one of those reasons, no refund is due.
I may also end our work, and refund you fairly for anything not yet delivered, if it becomes clear that what you need is care I am not qualified to give. That is not a rejection. That is me refusing to be the wrong help.
The parts of these terms that are meant to last, including intellectual property, confidentiality and limitation of liability, stay in force after our work ends.
16. Not for under 18s
My work is for adults. This site and everything on it are intended for people aged 18 and over. I do not knowingly work with, or collect information from, anyone under 18.
17. Changes to these terms
I can update this page as my work changes. When I do, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. The version live on the site on the day you bought is the version that applies to your purchase. I am not going to rewrite the deal you already agreed to.
18. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict of law rules.
If something goes wrong, come to me first. Send a message through the contact form and give me a proper chance to put it right. Most things are a conversation, not a case.
If it truly cannot be resolved that way, any dispute will be handled in the courts of the State of Florida, USA, and you agree that is where it happens.
19. If one part does not hold
If a court ever decides one part of these terms cannot stand, only that part falls away. Everything else stays in force exactly as written. And if I do not enforce something straight away, that does not mean I have given up the right to enforce it later.
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the work you buy.
20. How to reach me
One door, and it works. Questions about these terms, a refund request, or anything else at all: use the contact form on youbuildingyou.com. It reaches me, and I answer it myself.
